2008 - Rothwell 600

2008 is a special year for Rothwell and district - it is the 600th anniversary of the granting of a royal charter to Rothwell.  Over the year there are several special evnts planned, and more details of this very special and historic anniversary.

Once you register (we will need an email address for  you but it will not be published) you can then enter diary dates and make your own photo album on the LS26 pictures pages.  If you need it (you are representing a club or society for example) we will consider giving you extended privileges so that you can write or change articles on this site - all while you are browsing the web - you need no special software or settings.

Rothwell celebrates the 600^th anniversary of the granting of its Royal Charter in February 2008. This offers an opportunity to harness the diverse mix and wealth of community groups within our area and bring them together to organise a year of celebrations. It will provide a focus to unite people from a variety of groups, increase identity within the area, strengthen community cohesion, and create greater opportunities for partnership and getting more involved in your community.
